Turbo Return Line Backing Up Help!!!
Hi, I need everybody's help here are two pictures of my return line. I have an inlinepro manifold, Precision GT3255E turbo, and a Z10/Moroso oil pan. My return backs up and leaks between the turbo and the exhaust casting. Any suggestions please help me. My AIM name = Vvesley

u could move your oil pan inlet over closer to the turbo(still on the deep side of the pan) so that the line will be more vertical.

Sorry, i don't want to hijack your thread, but does the return need to be on the deep side of the pan? Mine is on the shallow part right now on my h22 and I've been having similar problems.

what size oil return do you have? that could be a problem depending on what size it is but other than that the only thing I could think of would be the seals are bad

nope shallow end is fine too. Depending on how high the turbo is and how big the line is, you can put the return pretty much anywhere on the front.

i bet you overfilled the pan. you cant run the full amount suggested by moroso/z10 when using a return line. unbolt the return at the pan and i bet oil is gonna come pouring out

Yeah thats what I'm afraid of thats why I'm testing the waters tonight with oil level proceedures. I poured 3 qts in lastnight and I'm going to pull of the line when I get home. I was also told that if I lost a pressure seal on the top side it would pour out the compressor housing and its bone dry so thats a good thing. I don't have a pressure gauge so I ordered one and it should be here by next week. Stick with me guy We'll get this figured out.

I'm curious to know the resolution when you find it... I have a rather straight segment in my return line too... and I'm leaking too.

PS: Regarding how much oil to be filled... Guys with a stock oil pan... Do you fill to the recommended amount.. or take some off?

Yeah I have the Moroso oil pan on my h22 and i noticed that the pan calls for 5.5 qts of oil??? Stock the lude is 5 qts right. But if I put 5.5qts it barely reads on the dipstick?? anyone else have these problems> I dont want to jack ur thread either...

Well sure enough I put 4QTS in the pan no issue . As for for 4.5 Qts it purs out all over the ground. Also my dipstick is calibrated for 4.5 and I can't read anything lower than that I'm going with the moroso Steel 5.5 qts pan 20910 model
