Default turbo recommendation

need an opinion on what the best sized turbo would be for me:
Set-up:
B18c, bored .020 over
JE 9.3:1 pistons
Crower rods
Skunk valvetrain
Cometic headgasket
blockgaurd
stock gsr cams
FMIC
3" DP and exhaust

looking for some streetable horsepower, but capable of a possible 11 second pass (in an EK on slicks)

what do you all think will be the best turbo???

C'mon now. You can't just throw any Precision at him. Give us a better idea in terms of power goals as well as streetability. There are plenty of turbo civics that use a specific setup to get to 11s. The rest is on the driver.

260 street and 350+ at the track couldn't agree more with the previous post. t3/t4 57 trim .63 AR. You should be able to get upwards of 400whp with that turbo and good tuning. If you need more then look at a 60-1 or the precision sc61

would my set up be able to support a 60-1 or an sc61?
would it loose streetability?

Yeah your setup should support either the 60-1 or the sc61 just fine. You'll bit just a bit laggy but nothing unstreetable or anything. You'll just get better response out of a t3/t4 57 trim. If you want to stay streetable but make more power go with .63 ar on a 60-1 or sc61 that'll help with the lagginess. Hope that helps.

I totally disagree about using the 60-1. If he wants to do just those kind of numbers, he's going to be barely into the surge area of the spool of the turbine if he goes too big, so even if the SC61 is a quick spooling turbo, (I'm using one myself) He'd be just fine w/ an SC44 or SC60... No need to go that high, just because he's in the market of a new turbo.. It also has the ability to grow WITH him. So if he goes higher, great, if not, he should be fine... w/ his SC34

It's good though that everyone here is using compressor/turbine housing and trim levels here. It's nice to get on a thread once in a while where everyone is not talking out of their ***.

I spec out turbos for a living here... Many times the biggest is not always needed.

Just my experience..

If ur looking for 11's and have a built motor go w/ the SC61E...

I reccomend the SC34/44 to the stock motor street tire guys looking for 12's and 13's.. For 11's and into the 10's I reccomend the SC61. You got a built motor w/ valvetrain, you can really take advantage of the sc61..
