Just fine. There's a Forced Induction forum you can ask as well.

If you aren't building the engine, a well kept stock D series can hold about 8-10psi max. My friend had his at 15 for awhile but it finally shot a piston out the block. Pretty hilarious if you ask me.

A mod will move you to the FI forum so you can get better answers.

PSI has little to do with longevity. It's the power output that the stock block can handle. Stock map sensor only reads 10.6 PSI though IIRC.

^^That.

15 psi through a T2 turbo is alot different than 15 psi through a T4 turbo.

You're talking like Ebay is a brand. No two no-brand kits off of Ebay are alike. If anything swap out the turbo.

i have a turbo d16 stock internal. running great for a year.

d16 can take up to 200-220whp safely with a good tune. rods are weak point, and supposedly ringlands come next.

just get a used t25 off a 240sx sr20det or a junkyard turbo, get a manifold, IC and piping off ebay, injectors, and chrome tune it. my setup ran me 1000$ with me piecing everything together and installing it myself. running 420cc injectors, 9psi on a straight t3 off a nissan 300zx .42 compressor, .63 turbine, 50trim. runs awesome.

psi alone as mentioned before doesnt mean anything.

id peronsally use a used t25 or at most a t3 with a .48 turbine side to avoid too much lag on the small d16 motor. my .63 lags a little bit much for me.

any more than that, look into building the bottom end

If you want to run a turbo from Ebay, namely OBX or "Super something or other", you need to run an oil restrictor on the turbo and it should hold. These turbos usually blow their oil seals because they get flooded with oil. Also, every manifold I've heard of from Ebay has cracked. I'd say use the Ebay turbo if you have to but get everything else from name brand manufacturers.

i have alwaqys heard that the toobular ebay turbo manis are **** but the cast iron ebay manifolds are just fine if your not trying to pull huge numbers. their good for just a stock motor build like you are doing
