Default turbo question

if you have a gsr stock block then put a b16 head on it that will mae it better for turbo cuz the head flows better and has lower compression than a gsr head right

The b16 head does not flow any better than the GSR head...the only reason people swap the B16 head onto a GSR block is because it raises the compression IIRC and makes a "Poor Man's ITR." If you're going to boost, just keep the GSR as is and have fun...

A while back there was a flow bench test of the two heads compared against one another. The GSR actually flows more air in the mid range and barely loses out up top. Either way a GSR block/B16 head is going to be less than ideal for boost...

It should be fine with a good tune; however, dont expect crazy things out of it with such high compression...

It actually lowers compression switching from a GSR to B16 head about .2 points.

I'll never claim to be a hybrid guy, but i thought that the GSR block/B16 head was a high compression setup....hmm

yeah, lowers it. the combustion chambers in the b16 head are larger than the gsr's
