turbo not spinning
like it says, my turbo doesnt spin even at idle. Thought it was the turbo bought an new one and same scenerio. Car would start and idle fine, but the turbo is not moving. Could it be te valves are loose and cause it not to spin? compression and everything is fine. Need some expertise help. Any thoughts turbo folks......

need to nkow your set up first. what motor. turbo. manifold set up. not all turbos will spin at idle. i know on my integra it didnt sometimes esp in the beginnin.

i know my motor been racing ...b18c big bore, eagle rods, je pistons, blah, blah.. jg head rev hard front facing mani. t67 turbo...drag motor.etc..... I know that its not the turbo,, thats why this was posted, all the turbo that i slapped on this motor is reacting the same way. I was running an t72 dual ball bearing b4 and that thing spun until something happened and all the turbo i have now wouldnt spin

c'mon wheres all the turbo heads at, I've already tried everything that everyone has thought of, I or may I say we need some more info... its probably one of those heads slappers when its all said and done.???? HELP HELP!

Are you posting under two names? You're not the one that made the first post on the thread svmn.
Maybe you put the turbo on backwards (intake or exhaust). Or you have 2 busted turbos.

1) you might have too big of an exhaust side for that motor making it hard for the turbo to spin at idle but fine under load.
2)broke turbo
3) There can't be any closed valves because if your valves were closed then your car wouldn't run

what condition is your mani in? do you have any vac. leaks? have you tried revving it to see if it spins, will it spin under load? when driving are you seeing any boost?
