Turbo Manifold: porting worth it?
I was test fitting my Greddy turbo kit today and I noticed casting slag in the ports of the turbo manifold. Would it be worth it to clean them up?
I was thinking about taking a Dremel and grinding down some of the rough spots.

Re: Turbo Manifold: porting worth it? (creechrr)
i cleaned mine up. i dont think the difference is measurable, but you might as well take the time and touch it up with the dremel if you have the time. i think i spent an hour touching it up.
also, test fit the manifold, the gasket and the turbine. you'll notice there is a ledge somewhere in there either between the mani and the gasket or the gasket and the turbine housing. if you want a chance at making a difference you might want to blend / chamfer any ledge or protrusins into the flow. i think i could have benefitted from widening the gasket but i ran out of time.
