What are you tuning with? what timing are you running? A bad ignitor will break up like that but would show as a lean spikes. Is the wiring harness sound? What is the map sensor reading? Keep us posted!

Thats a good idea. I bet you the dyno will look identical too.

LOW CAM Pulls are IDENTICAL TO VTEC PULLS.

ECU an TUNING IS NOT THE PROBLEM. Timing is fine, plugs are gapped. its a mechanical problem.

Im going to dissasemble the rocker arms tomrrow. The pins are sliding over, but they are not staying LOCKED. this is the weirdest **** i have ever seen.

trying to engage vtec with air isnt the same as oil...air compresses oil doesnt...the motor uses oil pressure to "lock " it into vtec.... you may have fucked up bearings or a bad oil pump

did you check if the oil jets are there under the cam caps? when did this problem start happening? is the oil jet in the block ? are any of the orings bad? do you have the wrong cam gears on the cams? who built the motor ?

140psi of air pressure is enough to lock the pins in vtec, i have done it on another car before.

Oil pump is brand new, bearing clearances are within spec (i built the motor). Piston to wall clearance is in spec. oil restrictors are in the head, everything is there that is sposed to be PER the honda service manual.

Im going to do more investigating today/tomrrow. I have a test i want to do ill keep you guys updated

Looks like the Exhaust an Intake Rocker arm SHAFTS are wrong. But i cant find part numbers for the shafts.

The honda service manual has a picture describing the rocker arm shafts, it looks BY the diagram that this head has 2 of the same EXHAUST rocker shafts.

anyone know if the shafts are different? some people say they arent, some people say they are, i cant din part numbers

The shafts are number 6, they seem to have the same part number. Hope it helps.
Part number 006 14631-PR3-000

But if his compression is 200 accross, I doubt thats the problem.

notice the 200 across cyl pressures. anyone else think it should read a bit higher?

do a leakdown test.

( I still think a valve adjustment is in order.)

ill keep everyone updated. The exhaust Rocket shaft was VERY hard to pull out, i spoke with someone at ACURA and they said it was possible to have a bent shaft, they have had it before. So il be getting new rails.

Valve adjustment was done 6intake 8 exhaust. Compression test was 200psi across the board, which is perfect for a 10:1 motor IMO.

Motor does NOT smoke, has no blow by out of the exhaust or valve cover breather. Has 70psi of oil pressure AFTER vtec engages. so there is oil pressure.

Its something to do with the Rockers, Vtec Solenoid, etc. Something in the VTEC system.

Terry ill check the clogged cat, good thinking , that never even crossed my mind.
