Turbo Intercooler question

Turbo Intercooler question
When it is really cold outside, my boost is strong and it seems like I don't have a boost leak. When the weather is hot I can really feel the boost leak. I know it is a boost leak because the boost cannot be maintained.
Does that mean that my intercooler has a small leak? I mean does that makes sense? I performed intake pressure test, checked pipes, BOV and could not find the leak. By the way my turbo is brand new.
Thanks for any help.
It has been running like this for a long time, and I have forgotten how it really drives. Still fast but not as fast as it used to be.
Just to clarify something: The turbo used to have positive boost after 3000 rpm. Now it really depends on how fast I step on the gas. If I do it slowly I can reach 5000 to 6000 rpms and the boost is still negative. If I floor it immediatelly the boost goes over 0 no matter at what rpm I am at. That is why I am sure it has to be a leak. Thanks again

If you cant find the leak, pull the ic and have it pressure tested.
As a much cheaper alternative, just remove it and replace it with a piece of pipe. She how it runs then.

If you still have a leak, then recheck the rest of the lines. If its not that, there's a small possibility that it could be wastegate related.

if you can't go past 0, then you have a leak somewhere.. could be as small as a slit, a ripped hose connector, and some other variables..

SOunds like wastegate issues to me.... It's not opening unless it's hit hard by boost.. Possibly a boost controller issue, as well.

Re: Turbo Intercooler question (SiR Kid)
Just finished after 4 hours of work on the POS. Took out the intercooler, all the pipes, the throttle body, the injectors, the EGR valve, the upper and lower radiator hoses.... After ahving the intercooler presurized and submerged into water I found no leak. (I was pretty pissed!!) Anyway, I basically replaced all the intercooler hoses, cleaned the throttle body, replaced the injector o-rings.
Evreything was almost finished when disaster stoke!! One of the 2 screws that is used to hold a fuel line on one side of the fuel rail broke, and I do not have a drill to rethread. So I used 2 big clips, (the ones used to hold together huge documents.
After I run the car and to my suprise the boost was back. Once I was sure that there was no fuel leaking, I took it on a quik drive.
I was so suprised..... My engine does not seem to experience fuel cut... On second gear I drove it up to 80 mph and no fuel cut.. I did not want to keep any more becasue I was afraid I might heart the engine.... Anyway, it is almost midnight here, and I think I will take it for another drive... This is the first time I am really experiencing the potential oof the new turbo. With boost is set at 12 psi, K&N filter, and stock exhaust I don't think I am making anything over 225 hp.
THanks for all th eadvice. I guess it was a combination of small leaks coming from the injector o-rings, throttle body gaskets and maybe some of the intercooler piping.
Although I have a DSM, H-T is the place to be!!
