Default Turbo feed line leaning against manifold

I searched and couldn't find the answer
Is it ok that my oil feed line is leaned against my runner on my exhaust manifold?
I plan on reworking the line to see if I can get away from the runner but as of right now I have it mounted the line leans against runner number 1 (driver side)

I have a ram horn manifold btw and yes it's a stainless steel line

If the line touches the manifold it will heat up until it melts through the rubber or teflon line inside the ss braid and will potentially cause a fire. So no, definately not ok.

Clamping the line so it does not touch the manifold is one option. If you cannot you could put a heat sleeve on that section of line. If it is still close even clamping it, you might put some heat sleeving on it anyways just for good measure.

Reroute the line. EGTs can get pretty hot and you don't want to melt the rubber inner.

Have a longer one remade if you have to. Do it right or do it twice...

I can loop around the block if need be. Right now it's coming over top on the timing belt side and it's tied down with the clamps mentioned above

Also, are you running a straight fitting between the feed line and chra? If so, switching to a 90 degree fitting might help "guide" the line around the manifold. That's what I did.

I have a 90 degree fitting on the turbo side
I had a gap between the manifold before but after removing the line to add Teflon on a fitting I lost the gap. I can regain the gap I just need to fool with it

+1 for heat wrapping the manifold. Get some fiberglass wrap from home depot or hardware store. It's pretty cheap if i remember correctly.

I went to advanced autoparts and got a brake line made up with the correct flares and ends. Its the kind you can bend by hand so you can contour it away from heat.

I use it to go into the turbo and get me safely away from the manifold before attaching my braided line. Everyone who has seen it says "sick".

well i moved the turbo feed line and i notice a slight burn mark as to where it was leaning against the manifold. i went ahead and ran the line different from before. i had the feed line coming over top of the valve cover so now its coming from under the top engine mount giving me about 2-3 inches of clearance from the manifold and as of right now it lowered my overall oil temp by 10 degress.

Sorry for my lag.

This is a oil feed line I used to hold the oil restrictor and keep flexible lines away from the manifold. It is made from a bendable brake line.

Thanks.

Advance. I think it was something like $5. They have them behind the counter and can cut them to length / flare them for you. You bend the tubing by hand.
