Default Turbo Edit to Crome

hey, i pulled a map off of a chip & the only thing it will open with is turbo edit. I'd like to use it as a basemap for this car that my brother bought & upgraded to obd-1. Anyone know of a way i can pull the info into crome. When i tried to open the .bin in crome all the cell's showed up as 66, i'm sure it just didn't understand the encoding or something coz it was an obd0 map.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

You have to start over. To get a basic tune on a basic setup on Crome should only take about two hours assuming you have all the right tools.

Yep, no reason to convert anything over. That is a waste of time even when converting between obd1 rom editors. Just start with a base that is relative to your setup, and go from there.

haha yea in a normal situation i'd have no problems doing this.. but in this particular situation nobody knows what size the injectors are in this car, i can't seem to get the thing to start.. tried stock map, tried map for 450's , tried 750's , tried a map for 1000's , hell i even tried a map for some 1600's & it's just fighting me.. just figured maybe there was a chance i coule pull the old map in somehow..

thanks anyways guys. I'm sure i'll figure something out.

Why not open it in Turboedit then and see what size injectors it is scaled to then...? Then make a new basemap with that same scaling. Remember to adjust for deadtime

you can copy the TE values directly to CROME, then play with the injector sizing till it is in the AFR range it should be in.

but it will still need to be retuned.

Best thing to do is what was told above.
