xenocron obd0 tuning?
just curious if anybody has bought a chipped ecu off them for a obd0 ecu. basically just give them specifics and they formulate a base map with turbo edit.
also is there anybody locally like south jersey/philly area who tunes with turbo edit?
being used for a n/a nothing crazy, just debating obd0 or upgrading obd1 thanks

I believe Turbo Edit is officially dead. That doesn't mean you cant use it but its no longer supported or updated. I would upgrade to OBD1 just to use a current tuning platform like Neptune or Hondata.
im not exactly sure where xenocron is located, but it says there in the tristate area. also when you click tuning/dyno it does list turbo edit as a option but to call first.
basically just tossing in cams and a bigger manifold with ur basic i/h/e. the base map alone would probably be fine but idk

Its not dead but its more of a DIY scenario and we really shy away from "TUNING" with OBD0 ECUs and software as the time involved is not worth the end result in my opinion anymore.
Converting to OBD1 is a much better idea and way to spend your hard earned $$$

i understand upgrading to obd1 for any and all tuning options, but i personally dont see the point in this case. oem ecu can handle the i/h/e but im just looking for a little extra something to help out with the cams while retaining stock sensors/compression etc.
xenocron, would the basemap just be a oem turbo edit map for a pr4? or would it have changes to help stabilize anything listed which can be fine tuned later?
and my friend over at hiboost can street tune turbo edit for me in a few weeks so even though its out dated it shouldnt take too long to just adjust idle and a/f

so you wouldnt guesstimate any a/f increase on stock compression with say a stage 2 cam when doing the base map?
never really touched tuning before but iv convinced myself, not sure why, that when putting a base map on any cam/compression change is estimated so the car would start and run ok, which can be fine tuned to what the engine likes after.
and i would prefer to stay obd0 for the rest of the year while i start piecing together a new project, so soz if my questions seem noob

I still get some solid tunes out of Turboedit. Some people hate jumper harnesses, or just have a boner for saying "OBD0". It doesn't have all the support or features of OBD1, but on the same token it doesn't have nearly as many bugs as Crome does =D
If you're not going for more than 250hp then TE will do the job just fine.
