Default Turbo D15B7?

Hey guys i have a silly question.
I bought a eg hatch as a project that now runs smooth as silk. Now that it runs good I'd rather not go through the time and money of a swap (though it may be easy for some of you). I wanted to turbo it but only to about 8-10 pounds. But how would the internals hold up? Or what things should I consider upgrading or replacing to make sure it doesn't blow apart?
As well as where to buy it all..

Thanks
-Ryan

theres a FAQ you should do some reading

With that said that motor wont handle much power, PSI MEANS NOTHING, its all relative 8 PSI on one turbo is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from another

I honestly would not turbo that motor, if you want a fast car get a different motor D16Z6 at least, a B SERIES would be much better, I have personal experience and that particular motor is pretty much the worst one to turbo, the rods are too small. I only blew one motor in my life and it was a D15B7

Even a D16Z6, I'd replace the rods. Keeping it D-series would be easiest with motor mounts and whatnot, and the harness would be the same (minus VTEC). B-series have somewhat beefier rods, but D-series usually only hold up to around 200whp (just a rule of thumb). Not worth risking your build parts when connecting rods and piston combos are usually cheap enough and helpful to put power down safely.

yea thats the thing with D series you gotta build the block for anything over 200hp, its just about the same price to get a B swap from H motors or something like that and youl be good for 300+
