so i decided to ditch my all motor setup (get rid of my pro 2's, and my 11:8 wisecos) and start buildilng my motor for boost, so far:
right now my head has/is ported, VJ, supertech valvetrain, ferrea 1mm OS intake valves, victor x and 68mm tb
the block consist of gsr crank, eagle H-beams, and used ARP head studs at a 81.5mm bore, block guarded
looking to get Tial wastegate, Tial BOV, garrett turbo, peakboost manifold, and [B]PISTONS[B/]
depending on the manifoldi was gonna get a Tial, 34mm wastegate and
-garrett T3/TO4E (50, 57, 60 trim), which trim should be best?
the biggest question is what should i do as far as pistons? should i dish out money and buy forged? if so what comp? i was thinkin maybe around a 10:0 c/r so the off turbo response of the motor is bomb diggity
or stick with cast pistons? i don't plan on running much timing, i'd rather pull away timing and add more boost to make power rather than running loads of timing up top. i'll be running on 91oct, and occasionally running 101/104, i have two fuel distributors close by so running high octane won't be a problem..
my goals are looking to be 350-400 whp occasionally daily driven, i don't see the power will be a problem with the sleeves considering seeing some people hitting 400whp+ on cast pistons and stock sleeves
post some suggestions and TIA!

also, if you guys recommend it what forged pistons would u recommend? i've heard CP is a good turbo piston, i used wiseco in my last build and they worked alright, a lot of blow by though but i'm not sure what my rings were gapped at
Your thinking is right regarding the static compression and off-boost response. CP 9.7:1 forged units with eagle rods would be a very good combination for your build. Forged units are best with boost in this situation. don't worry about cams and other NA bolt ons that you have quite yet, until you get some power goals in mind. OEM can do a lot in the boost world.

i'll look into CP's 9:7.1's and see if i like them..
