Default What is the best Wastegate that I should get?

I'm going to be running a Turbonetics T3/T4 with a custom Virtual Works Turbo Manifold, Spearco Intercooler with a Blitz BOV. No Standalone just pump and regulator. I'll be installing a partly built B18A with Pistons, Rods, Block Guard, and stock head. I already tried doing a search and came up with no results for the best wastegate that I should get. Any suggestions? MP Motorsports suggest HKS, Dana at Virtual Works Racing suggested HKS and my boyfriend suggested HKS. I trust these guys' words because they are the only ones I know here in vegas that have fast cars and actually work on their own cars. But I want to know if anyone out there will have to differ. Currently I have a Deltagate but everyone said that it's not efficient for the setup and the times that I want to run. I'm aiming for Mid-11s to high 11s daily driver. Since my SOHC was only 2 seconds away I decided to go with a bigger motor and turbo instead of Nitrous.

Thanks for all your help fellow H-T members.!

HKS is great choice if you got he money. Most people suffice just with a tial unit.

the tial 38mm is direct replacement for your delta gate and will have no creep issues and is priced relatively low

why wouldn't they suggest HKS ? Their name is one of the best in the business. But is it practical for you ? Well, that I really don't know.

Turbonetics makes good wastegates. They have one called the "race gate"

Tial also is known for good wastegates.

How much boost are you going to run ?

Tial is best bang for the buck.....HKS you get quality but you pay extra for the name cause its a Japanese company, Tial you get quality and a low price which I give both , The turbonetics race gate is for high performance applications "This high flow wastegate will control engines that develop 900+ HP" and its the same as the deltagate but bigger which is what people say are no good on this board, I have a tial and i love it..no creep just an excellent quality wastegate without the high price.

I don't care about the flanges because Dana Westover at Virtual Works Racing will be building my turbo manifold and the fabrications on my car. So I don't have any problems with different flanges. I rather buy HKS because a few people including Dana suggest HKS. They stated that it is more efficient and better quality. I rather take these people's words for it and a few people here on H-T. I can afford HKS, Money's not a problem if it is the best for my car. I need to get rid of my piece of **** deltagate. Are there any more suggestions?

HKS or TIAL?

I'm planning on boosting about 13-15 lbs on the motor that i currently have. When I decide to take it to bensons have it the block resleved and build the head I plan on boosting 15-20. But by that time I wont have a daily driver anymore.

Tial has that new 44mm wastegate.... I am getting one of the first few tial has made.. But on-topic.. Tial is the best bang for the buck IMO, But the hks is also good, just a matter if u wanna spend more.

Get the tial.

The HKS is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over kill for your application. A turbo 4 cylinder motor pushing your hp goals will never use that gate to its full capability.

This is just a "FOR NOW" type thing. I plan on making a full race car out of my crx probably next year but I want to complete my 11sec slip with just pump and regulator then complete a 10 with AEM Standalone. After that I then will decided if I want to go full race or what not. So I want a wastegate that I can use on the long run. My boyfriend has a full race teg and I purchased him a brand new HKS 40MM 2 xmas' ago and he's putting 400whp running mid 10's and his wastegate is really efficient. I hope to have the same HP or even perhaps more later on. I understand Tial is the best bang for the buck.. But which is better for the long run? Like I said.. Money isn't a problem for me if it's what is best for my crx.

Turbosmart WGs are good quality and reasonable price, comparable to tial IMO. I put one on my friends b18b works great for over 5000 miles so far.

Do they have a website where I can check it out at?

On another note, What is the best wastegate in general? Greddy, HKS, Tial, Turbonetics, etc??
