Default Turbo blanket material

Anyone have any real idea what this stuff is? I bought them and they work great and now I'm really curious about the material in another application and wanna know where to find it flat in larger pieces.

Anyone?

In the industry I work in we use K-Wool because it has much better heat resistance (around 2,300° F continous IIRC) and over 3,000° F melting point.
