well its a custom turbo, and it will be goin on a D15b SOHC Vtec Motor when i get the motor???
im thinkin about orderin it from turbocalculator.com

what about a D16z6 Vtec Motor???
think that could handle a turbo runnin on 5-7 psi???

thats a big turbo. is your set up stock? you can find lots of people selling there greddy kits or try a revhard bolt on kit with a t3/t04b faster spooling for the sohc motors. http://www.camp1320.com allways works for me.

yes it is all stock, but im about to drop a 1.5 SOHC Vtec with a z6 Vtec head < if it will fit > but i just wanted to know if it would be safe enough on my stock engine

If it's tuned right and in proper running order...a z6 can handle 8-10psi no sweat

so what if i just installed a z6 Vtec head on my D15 Vtec Motor???? how much boost u think i would be able to run before my engine dies.. lol????
because more than likely <money issues> ill just buy a D15 SOHC Vtec Motor and bolt it to my D15b7 Tranny and throw a z6 head on it... then run a turbo....
how would it run if i boosted that???

First you tell him that a T3 60 trim turbo is too big. Then you tell him to get a bigger turbo. A t3/t04b is a bigger turbo then a straight T3 60 trim. If you want a faster spooling turbo then stick with the straight T3 60 trim.

haha, I'm sorry for the confusion...the head is not the issue with the d15...its the tiny ***, WEAK *** connecting rods...the z6 simply has beefier rods which can handle a little boost.

do u have the D15b stock engine or is it the Vtec D15???
right now i have a D15b7 and im about to drop a D15 SOHC Vtec in it... and then i am installin a custom turbo kit on it prolly with a T25 turbo or T3 but the guy said he had a smaller turbo that would spool at 2200 rpms. i told him i just wanted the turbo that had the most boost... lol
but i did want to run TOO much boost to where i blow my engine... thats why im on here...
let me know...

well see right now im running the SOHC Non-Vtec also, and the rhb5 turbo spools around 2200, it has a Tial 35mm wastegate. 18"x10" FMIC, waterinjection sprayer, log mani.,etc.
its a custom turbo and the guy said that it should be an 100+ gain when i get my SOHC Vtec and forged int.'s
so that means i could be runnin 225+ with the proper amount of boost....
would that be ok.. ill prolly start out with 5-7 psi anyway... lol JUST TO BE SAFE

Sounds good. Being cautious is a good thing. I'm just boosting the d15 while my d16z6 is in my garage waiting for some forged internals and being built up for next year. I'd say 15+ psi and a big turbo in the z6.
