Default went to the dyno

just thought i would get you guys 2 cents,.I went to "TURBO TUNE" in Greensboro, NC. and got my friends B20 turbo civic tuned.HE got HONDATA S200 boost system installed,he just got the motor built and it was time for some tuning. HE still has the small turbo from the factory single cam(he needs a bigger T3T4)but it still put done some good numbers.

The base run was 160 whp,but after a hole day on the dyno we got the numbers to 263.2 whp,and 262.9 torque at a steady 11 or 12 psi. are these good or bad numbers.

what turbo is it? If he got a bigger one at 12 psi he should see way over 300. B16a on 6 psi made 227 here w/ no stand alone. I hope he has sleeves since hes b00sting that high.

It is a TD04 GREEDY turbo,I thank that its like a t25( small as hell) its the one from the single D16 kit. But the car has almost no lag with it,it's almost like a super charger.

also if anyone has any idea, what kind of 1/4 strip times could he expect out of his car with street tires ,and full interior with 263.2 whp.

nice numbers

but he is running a tad lean around 4000-4500 rpm. I would be a bit wary of the stock sleeves of the b20 at that a/f ratio.

I wouldn't run any leaner than 13:1 with a turbo

judging by that dyno, he needs a way bigger turbo, his peak hp is before he gets to 4300 rpms, AND HES REvving to 7000? think about it. He could easily go over 300 now that i see that probably over 350 with a t3/4

Those are really good numbers, especially for a stock topend B20.
I went to Jspeed acouple of weeks ago and bought a B20, now I am sure who is going to do the build.
see you at Rockingham
Benny

You need to take the b20 to TURBO TUNE in greensboro N.C. , Talk to a guy name Mark,he really knows his ****, and really knows how to build and tune a motor.

Good #'s

Now put a real turbo on there and ditch that pinwheel!
