Turbo b18c1 ( daily driver ) need advice
I got a b18c1 with just standard stuff done. I wanted to go N/A and do out the engine but its too pricey and to turbo would be so much mor effective in the long run.
I dont want to rebuild the motor just yet, i wanna just slap 6-10 psi and maybe less for silly work drives. However i have a sleeper look to my car and iwanna keep it that way, this is where i need more help.
I wanna hide alot of the turbo stuff, like recyclin the blow off vavle through the intake ( I dont know if i should why im putting it out there ) Also i just wanna know what turbo setup to go with. I want to have a small turbo that spools quick but i gotta get a setup so i wont be jumping around with boost all the time.
Also i need a to pick up a LSD so any suggestions on that would be appreciated.

Re: Turbo b18c1 (EtchaSketch)
What's your budget and power goal?
It might help so that we'll know if we can suggest a HMT (homemadeturbo) setup, a kit or a custom setup. I think a T3 might be a little too small for a GSR motor. And a T3/T4 is above the size you wanted. For turbo choices, it seems like the GT28RS is a good balance between fast spool and decent power. The only problem is it's expensive and I think a lot of places have it on backorder.
Check out this thread, and if you are lucky you can find a vid that you can DL towards the last few pages. It is a GT28RS on a GSR with ITB's...remember to check the last pages first if you want to DL a vid.

I'm aiming for your goal too and I've found the GT28RS is a nice choice. Be sure to weld the internal wastegate shut once you have a external wastegate.
Heres some sites for the GT28RS

yup, the gt28rs is def. a nice turbo....why not just get the t3/t4 drop in from atp?

I'd look to buy a GT28RS from ATP with the drop in T3 housing,

really pricey though.....
