turbo b18b questions?
I have a new project 90 ls teg. I NEED to get this car into the 10's. So far I've gutted it, pulled motor, removed fenders,hood,bumper...you get the idea. Well, now for the question(s) whats a common suspension set up for drag racing? Is a rev hard turbo kit good enough for this? What tubo size? ect. We do know it wiill have a sleeved and built motor .I need to know as much as I can. I'm sorry if these questions have been asked before but I don't now squat about drag racing. Thanks

go to the track, make some freinds. ask some questions. learn learn learn. no one here can just hand you specific answers. it might do you some good to contact a reputable shop to do this for ya.
for about $10-12k i think you can put together a setup that will land you in the 10s reliably.

You will need more than $10k-$12k to land a DA into 10's, especially with a B18A. You are looking at $18k-$25k at least...bare minimum. A Rev Hard Stage III can get you into the 10's, but you need to fortify your entire motor. You need lots of fuel, lots of spark, a very well-built motor, and engine management...and lots of dyno time.
I spent around $20k on my old Civic, and was only dipping 11's on high boost, but it was my daily driver, so I rarely boosted past 1.0 bar. Friends of mine with daily driven 10 second Hondas all spent around $25k, for reliable cars...You could halfass it, but you will end up ruining your motor, and your investment goes to the trash can.
As for suspension, I'm not really sure, I'm not a suspension guru, but I would guess some good coilovers, with a higher spring rate in the rear.

i guess i should not have edited out my higher initial cost. I was thinking 25k for everything. tools/trailer all the right support equipment on top of all the stuff that actually goes into the car. Good insight.

pretty simple to do if you got the money... of course. First for suspension if you want something thats pretty stout go with some good coilovers, such as GC with a good spring rate in the front and rear i would reccommend over 800lb rear spring with milder spring up front. I would gut the interiour and everything like you said. I would also go with lighter components such as rear hatch made of fiberglass with lexan windows all around. I would sleeve the motor go with 84mm bore and be ready to rumble with 500hp plus

have you REALLY gutted it. i don't just mean bumper supports and interior. i mean removing excess welds/braces....removing the trunk pan.....really cutting into the car. the difference between a 1800 lb car and a 2300 lb car is EVERYTHING.
