Default tunning problems, need help.........

i am trying to tune the car myself right now for later i am going built. i am using check valves and a bleader valve because i don't have a blue box. what is usually the fuel presure on these turbos, i have mine at 40 right now(on stock injectors) and the car only makes 5 pounds right now but goes lean at 1 pound.

List of mods

D15b7(non vtec)
Full greddy kit (T3)
intercolled
holly 190iph fuel pump
vortex fuel pres. reg.
no exhaust, just down pipe(was told that turbos don't need back pres.)
the car is an auto(for now)

what do i need to tune it. i have been playing with the bleeder valve and can't tune it. if i back offf the fuel pressure, i have to open the bleeder valve more and visa versea. either way i do it, i can't the car car fuel over 1 pound. i have an idea, i think that the car needs injectors, i have been looking at RC310's, or is the car getting to much fuel right now and over flowing the injectors.

if anyone as any suggustions, i would reaaalllllllyyyyyy appreciate them

Thanks, Travis

Take it to Gerald and Mayhem Import Technologies. He should know what to do, I would think. He is in Angleton still I believe, but I haven't been back there in a couple of years.

Uh, it seems like you need fuel management. Such as an FMU, a fuel pressure regulator will NOT make up fuel for boost.

if you have the greddy kit you need the blue box and maybe those 310cc-320cc injectors that was suppose to come with the kit.

If you get injectors then you must get an AFC to control them with, otherwise you will flood your engine. Right now it seems like you don't have ANY fuel management for boost. Basically these are your choices:

1. FMU and a hi pressure fuel pump/inline pump
2. 440cc injectors and AFC
3. Standalone

i had the fmu and it didn't work right, the car wouldn't even idle right so i went with the fuel pres. regulator, so you think i need to get another fmu or just try injectors

as soon as i put the fuel pump in is when i had the fuel problem, and put the regulator in. when the car only made 2 pounds, it never leaned out, now with the big fuel pump its not getting enough fuel, maybe the fuel pump is bad? i don't know

well, i am just telling yall that the motor blew up last friday night. i guess that all the trying to tune it myself blew it up or just was the right time to go, org. motor and trans. from 92, only 86,000 miles. now i went with the D16y7. what do yall think of hondata. jason or stupid from houston, tx is going to be doing the tunning if you have heard of him. his girl friends car is in sportcompactcar right now, the red hatchback, bone stock LS running 11.60's, all tunning. so i think he knows what he is doing, i can't wait to see if i can go ls1 hunting.

PS: mayhemsi, im me i'll be on tonight

you blew it up cause u werent running the FMU. u must have got a bad FMU. sometimes they can lock up and stay wide open and it will barely idle. thats probably what happened with urs. that sucks man im sorry u blew ur motor i wish i would have seen this thread the first time around i would have warned u. but this time around, hondata and tuning by jason should work out nice..
