i did a search and nothing really came up. i was wondering if i will need either one. i have a 99 b18b with a drag 3 kit. i want to use a fmu set up for now until the smc comes out. what does it exactly do and is it nessecary? any info would help..thanks

 

it tricks the MAF sensor basically. if that sees too much boost you will have a CEL

 

does anyone how much boost before i throw a cel?

 

Stock Honda ECU's expect to see a maximum manifold pressure of atmospheric. (0 psi on your boost guage) If it sees any boost at all, it should throw a CEL. The Drag kit probably came with check valves to prevent this.

yeah, basically once it reads positive vacuum (boost) and not negative vacuum, you will get a light (cel)

 

does the cel affect performance? doesnt it go to loop mode or something?

 

yeah. your going to need this. i have a throttle body mount missing link. forty bucks shipped and it's all yours.

 

people are telling me 12:1 is over kill and to use a 10:1 disk and a intank.....will this work well on stock injectors?

 

I use 10:1, Walbro Intank, and 440cc injectors and run 1 bar. Works perfect

 

what's the max amount of boost that can be obtained using the missing link.
