Yes that is the cheapest way, but not if the motor blows. Find a shop that chips computers and tunes them in your area. That is gonna cost a little more because you will need a jumper harness to convert to obd1 and a obd1 ecu but alot safer in the long run

Ehh its a way of "tuning" but not parameters that are measured by any certain degree of accuracy. Just adding fuel doesnt really make me sleep better at night lol but some ppl have good luck with it.
As far as ECU tuning goes, ya getting a chip burnt thru chrome would be their most inexpensive route.

i use uberbata. idk if crome had their timing issue fixed or not but older uberdata had the same problem, fixed now though with current uberdata ?

CromePro, eCtune or neptune. Cheapest softwares out now.
Crome if you are really cheap. If you want something thats actually better then homodata.. use eCtune or Neptune RTP's both great programs.
