Default tuning options

i have a 1995 Turbo LS ...I just recently put the kit on and i have a few options to get it tuned.... i want to get it tuned on 8 or 10 psi ..not sure yet but i talked to a few tuners and one said he uses "Ectune" and charges $450...the other said he uses "Neptune" and charges 400..the other said all i need is an SAFC and he will street tune it for $350 including the SAFC that he is selling me.... but im not sure which to go with
what would you guys recommend

Well definitely don't go with the SAFC tune. That will probably not end the greatest or atleast the way a proper tune would.

Where are you from?

i am in your area and the money i spent for an evans tune was well worth it.

stay away from the safc as you cannot make timing changes with it. and your tune will suffer from it.

and to say the least your engine will suffer also.

www.innovative-motorworks.com is where he tunes out of

would recommend him to ANYONE and he is a licensed neptune dealer/tuner

i have been on these forums for a long time, been in the honda game even longer and would recommend 93turbo16 over any other local tuner (better prices, great tune, and just an AWESOME guy to deal with!) btw i drive over 3 hours every time i go to get tuned by him, and have had my past ten cars down to him

I ran a safc setup for a long time on my old ls/vtec but they are very right, its very limited. I ran it because it was something i could do myself and had fun doing it. I also bought a wideband(back when they were $$$$$) and the thing ran great after just some small tweaks(ran with dsm 450s).

A real tune will make some more or a LOT more power depending on many things, so definently worth it. Also much safer as ignition timing cant be done with the safc so your very limited.
