turbine air filter
The owner that had the car before I did apparently did not kept up with maintenance. The original color of the intake filter on the turbine is nearly black and suppose to be the dark red K&N color. I got it cleaned twice and its still black with gunk build up. I might as well now replace it. I seen many universal filters and wanted to see if I should dish out $60 for a nice apexi power intake filter or get a standard $20 vibrant tunnel filter? How about those generic filters sold at Kragen/Autozone?

Re: turbine air filter
get a nice filter. the cheap autozone and ebay ones have a metal piece inside that comes off and ruins turbo when it gets hot and the glue loosens.
if theres a piece of plastic or metal inside the filter to suck off, dont bother
get another K&N !
