Default Tuning

Why is tuning regarded as so difficult? If you have the software and all else that is needed, why do you need to dyno? so many people have tuned, many must have very similiar if not the same set up as you might, so why dont tuners use similar or same set-ups as far as tuning maps for the given application?

Tune your car then come back and let us know how it went.

most tuners will start out with a map that they have made for another similar setup. And they will start tuning YOUR car from that point, so they do not have to start from scratch. Saves you and them time. They still have to tune the car for correct afr and timing, b/c no motor is the same, no matter how similar the set up.
