Tuned my stock bore b16 on c16 today woohoo..........
Brauning motorsports retuned my car today on c16.. Its a stock bore b16 with stock sleeves.. It has 9:1 weisco GSR pistons, eagle rods, big arp rod bolts, all supertech valvetrain with oversized .5mm valves and GSR cams.. The turbo is a t3-t4 60 trim w/63ar..
The car made 360hp corrected on pump gas and 16.5psi..
On c16 i turned it up to 22-23psi and made 420hp and 279tq revving to 9200rpm..
That is about all my turbo has and i might buy a gt-35 because i'm building another sleeved LS block soon..
Not bad for a 1.6L
My only problem is i need to upgrade my radiater i upgraded yesterday from a JRC 8" to a precision 600hp they we're exactly the same size but the precision was thicker.. Just by changing them alone my boost went from 16 to over 20 and i had to readjust everything.. Now i think the thickness of it is blocking air to my radiater.. I can't go to a thicker radiater because my DP touches it now i had it coated and it helped but now i have this problem.. It will run slightly warm at interstate speed like 210-215 then will run about 205 in stop and go.. When i boost after the IC install i noticed sometimes it will creep alittle past 210 then will cool right back off.. I've seen some people mount thier radiater at a angle but not sure what they mounted them to and i was thinking about what kinda airflow they'd recieve at a angle..
Another question has anyone ran the kirkeys race seat in a car they drive on the street???
did it ride ruff??
any ideas would be appreciated...
