Re: Most powerful B16 stock bore and stroke size??? (Garage 808 Hatch)
I've made 570whp on my stock sleeve'd stock stroke b16a. Car went 10.4@142.7mph in sfwd trim. I dont think anyone has really pushed the limits of the b16 yet and I'd like to see it done. A lot of power +rpm without alot of torque is definitly a good thing for a fwd trying to get down the track.

ya, thats our thinking. im shooting for 550whp on boost, then spraying in 3rd and 4th, probably a 125-175 shot. its a GE HD sleeved, b16, manley turbo tuff rods, arias 9:1 pistons, with upgraded wrist pins, ported head, gsr cams, t3/62-1 turbo, .82 ex, pwr 6x10 air to water IC, 3" piping, zex direct port kit, hondata s300, Precision 1000cc's, aeromotive a-1000 pump, 1 gal cell, -10 feed, to two -6 lines, 1 going into each end of the fuel rail, 68mm TB, ported mani runners on a victor-x, 4" dp and 4" alum exhaust.
my goals are between 650-700whp??? think its possible, I also plan to upgrade either this winter or next to a gt4094

If you poke around, you'll find info on the 540whp 100% bone-stock B16. It broke all 4 ringlands after a couple dyno pulls and 1/4 mile runs, but still ran okay.
If you want to figure out how far it can go, take a 1.8 or 2.0 that you know the max of and take 5-15% off of that. As long as you can rev it up, the head is the limiting factor, and the monster 1.8's and 2.0's use the same type of head...

You should choose other cams rather than gsr cams for that amount of power, with you wanting 650-700 look at aftermarket stuff (skunk 2, crane cams).
