Default Troubleshooting: Turbocharged engine has mediocre performance in certain gears?

i have a bone stock b16a2, i bolted on a ebay turbo kit, small turbo .5 ar, and at first after the tune it was okay, but as of recently its been laggy and right before my vtec crossover theres a slight pause and then the power hits. wondering if my map has failed?
1-2 the pulls are mediocre, 1-2-3 as soon as i hit third the lag is unbelievable.

could be lots of things, cover your bases first check for boost leaks, check compression, is it missing? it really sounds like mechanical timing, tunning issue or even fouled plugs/spark issue

1. check mechanical timing
2. check compression
3. test for boost leaks
4. you said its tuned? pull some logs and verify you have proper AFR throughout the rpm range

if all that checks out I would look twards weak spark issues
