Tranny shifting problem, any ideas?
Ok I put in a lsd as i have before with no probs. And due to other work on car i have not had time to look at this, but the car will not go into first and second gear(location) however. 3ed gear is now 1st, 4th is second, 5th is 3ed and reverse is 4th. any ideas here guys so i know what im looking for? its as if the whole shift pattern has moved over to the right one space. Could this be internal? or just the linkage wrong?

When I did mine I forgot to put the reverse fork into its retainer, I had very similar problems except mine was nuetral was reverse. It kinda sucks but your gonna have to open it up again and make sure all the forks are put in the retainers. First pull the 2 bolts that have the springs and ***** in them and make sure you put them back in. The 2 bolts are in front of the shift linkage on the tranny.

Re: Tranny shifting problem, any ideas? (B18C4-T)
see the thing is when the tranny was on the table I was able to move it through all the gear just finr. and its just weird to me that the gears work but they are all one over. as if the shifter wont move over to the left far enough. I also used a bolt rather than a pin to hold the linkage on. Maybe this had something to do with it. Any other ideas guys? I working on other things now so i dont have time for it yet but it would be nice to know what to look for, thanks for the help so far. Oh and its a GSR tranny/Hydro
