GSR Tranny problems
Today when I was driving home on the freeway my tranny pop 5th gear and went back into netural. I put it back into 5th thinking ok whatever. About 5 mins later it did it again.. So I put it back in and it started to do it faster and faster. I got off the freeway and took the streets the rest of the way home and it stayed in 5th no problem.
No grinding at all
itsn't hard to put into gears.
hmmm, so whats the problem is my tranny about to go out the door?

no, its not about to go bad, could have had something in the linkage. most gear poping out issues, most gear clash issues, and most gear blocking issues are linkage or shift fork related. you're 5-r fork could be slightly bent, check on the highway again and report back. you probably had something like a rock wedged in your linkage. leave it to honda to put shift linkage in the open elements underneath the car.

fluid would be a safe idea too, probably needs done anyways. if this problem isn't fixed, eventually you'll start tearing up clutching teath on 5th drive gear and 5th synchro sleeve. not to mention eat the crap outta the blocker ring. use honda mtf or 10w30 motor oil for fluid, fill until you can feel fluid level will the fill hole.
