Default Traction Control Device, good in 1/4 mile drag?

I post recently problems I have in the track about my traction with the JRSC. Yesterday I find a product from a company in england:

http://www.racelogic.co.uk/

This is a traction control device, that have a launch option.

What do you people think about this for 1/4 mile event?

Thanks for the imputs.

Read this:

Race Traction control systems rely on much more precise, and faster acting ways of reducing power. The first method is shutting off fuel to the engine, and the other is cutting out the spark. Both methods have exactly the same high speed modulation ability, but the spark cutting system will happen potentially one cycle earlier. The magnitude of difference in reaction times between spark cut and fuel cut is negligible compared with the difference between throttle actuation and spark/fuel cut.

****

So it seems that to control wheelspin, they cut power until your wheels get traction. NOT IDEAL if you're looking for ultimate acceleration.

Bolt on a pair of slicks, rev it up and hold on for the ride!

traction control does work because it will put more power to the ground instead of spinning ur tires... the thing is traction control is banned in many forms of racing

ok, first things u need to get traction are:

1)good tires or slicks
2)good suspension
3)radius arms if u get wheel hop

and MOST OF ALL! PRACTICE! u need PRACTICE!

all the traction control devices in the world will do no good unless u know how to drive. all they really do is put less hp to the ground, u shouldnt really have a bad traction problem in your car. I think its either your driving or your tires.

I learned something from my old man (Dad) about this when I was a kid. The best traction control you will ever have is your right foot. Now if you don't have your right foot, well it won't apply to you. Most hardcore drivers will tell you, the same thing my dad told me. This is assuming you can't afford LSD's, radius rods or slick tires. Plus, practice helps a whole lot. Then again in my case, I like driving cars sideways, so traction control is garbage to me.
