Any one used the new Z10 turbo launch control???
I have an 88 rex, turbo, zdyne gold, blah blah, but i just saw this new launch control by Z10 for 135 bucks, my zdyne has launch control, but who has time to fine tune your launch rev limit by entering values in a computor in the line to race. It looks pretty cool, being that it cuts fuel and spark, so you dont lean burn out blow flames out the tailpipe when you cut spark (although that is pretty sweet, 2fast 2furious made it lame, lol) so it sound like a pretty safe way to full throttle shift as well as launch control.

The only one time I used the one on my aem ems i only cut spark and it sounded like a shotgun went off out my tailpipe lol. The birds in the trees on the whole block flew away. Next time ill try it with fuel too lol

as seen on http://www.z10eng.com then electronics, to launch control...
Z10's Flat-shift is a digital rev limiter operated by a clutch pedal mounted switch that uses a RISC microprocessor running at 4MHz to cut both fuel and spark 40times a second to limit power. Both fuel and spark need to be cut in EFI Cars for the following reasons :
Fuel must be cut to prevent raw unburnt fuel going through the engine and destroying the cat converter.
Spark is also cut in the same cycle so that any remaining unburnt fuel will not ignite and cause lean burn ( lean out can cause piston damage )
Once Set-up you can hold the throttle flat and build almost maximum boost on start line launches and hold the throttle flat during gear changes which will help keep the turbo spooled.
Part # Description Price
Z10-4102 Turbo Launch Control $135.00

I heard good things from most MKIV Supra guys with this system. Some even road/autoX with it and have some good things to say about it.

maybe youre not setting it right? or you have something hooked up wrong... the launch control on my hondata always works fine.
