Traction control...
I thought about that one a while back, but it takes away fuel.
I've found that Boost Control would be a much better way to manage traction.

I still dont see why everyone recommends short gearing for FI.

I totally agree, it would be nice to at least have usable 1st and 2nd gears

is there a boost controler that could have different boost settings by gear or maybe rpm?

there are a few BCs with that kind of a control. usually they are kinda pricey, i "think" apexi makes or made one like that.

i doubt you will find any honda users. this is a pretty well kept secret, and it works very well from what i heard by email from other users. is traction control illegal for drag racing? i am always amazed that i NEVER hear of anyone using TC considering it's popularity in most forms of racing. the racelogic piece is a very simple and straighforward design and seems to be pretty well thought out. i don't think there would be any negative to using one. i wopuld think with some tinkering you could get it to be an ignition controller as opposed to a fuel controller, but they do talk about why they went to the fuel side of things instead of the ignition side of things. good item at a great price imho!!

I think the Apex'i AVC-R has gear based control, AEM was going to come out with boost by MPH, I think ITS and World Electronics both have gear based EBCs.

The racelogic system works very, VERY well. My friend has a blown 99 cobra making over 600 RWHP and this sytem helps a TON for traction on 18" radials. I've also rode in an APU supra with the racelogic system, and it was great.
ive heard some word about the bergenholtz brothers new "legal" traction control. But only time will tell if it works and if its legal. Traction control is a great device that is outlawed in nhra competition. oh well.-pdang
