Default gear-dependent boost control?

Dunno if it was the crack i was smoking or what, but i remember for some reason seeing "gear-dependent boost control" in a thread somewhere. searching has produced no leads, so does anyone know what this is (if it even exists)?

If it was just the crack, please let me know so i can change dealers

I believe that Blitz makes a meter that gives you boost control via your mph...maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

AVC-R can control boost in each gear independently.
