Default took the h22 turbo for a quick ride and I have some questions

I did search and couldnt find much usefull..

first off its a JDM H22a1 with a revhard stage 2 kit (7psi spring in tial WG)
clutch fluwheel etc...
running the FMU for now till I get it tuned

ok here is how it went.
It WONT boost in neutral, i understand its a big turbo(56 trim) so it will have some lag but it wont even hit 1psi.

Anyway the big thing is when i took it for a whip down the street real quick it did boost. The problem is, it doesnt really spool untill almost vtec; 4-5k then it spools right up to 7psi...its fast but not quite as fast as i thought it'd be....im not sure why its lagging so bad..? While cruising it doesnt boost either...i went down the street in 1st gear and bliped the throttle and it didnt even boost a pound...also the turbo is kind of quiet. basically I don't think I should have lag like this...any feedback would be great!

sorry if I made some mistakes I'm in a hurry haha

Thanks in advance!
Keith

Man o man you gonna blow your car up pretty quick. You cant build up boost in neutral nor when you're cruising . Why would you wanna make boost in neutral anyways?

turbo needs load to spool.

Dont beat on it until its tuned. 4k full boost isnt out of the ordinary either

Ditto, you will get little spool up in first gear due to the low load on the engine thanks to the gearing and you can't build boost in neutral because there is no load at all other than the rotating weight.

4k isn't bad at all, try using my setup

Definately ditch that FMU and get some reall engine management though man, it will thank you in the long run.
