Default tires/turbo

im running a little under 10 psi of boost, and im putting down around 230trq. my tires are not gripping i loose a lot of traction. pedal to the medal even in 4th gear im peeling out doing 60+. what tires would be good enough for me????

99 gsr teg.
current tires:Toyo Proxes FZ4
-205/40/17-(7.0)

List the rest of your suspension setup and how old it is.

At 230trq on decent street tires you shouldn't even be ripping out 3rd gear

i only have eibach springs, and skunk 2 camber kits thats about it for the front. I am using a 3 point edelbrock strut bar.


does the brand matter? like falken or bf goodrich?

BFG 225's or MT et street in 235's work good for the street.

toyo fz4's are terrible tires. anything else would be better than those.......

no need for slicks on a steet car. just pick a good summer/sport tire with a softer compound.

azenis 615s or toyo T1Rs are my two favorites.

Those are the two cheapest places I know of to get them. When I had 240whp in 2nd gear the T1R's would hold. I don't think you will hook 1st with any z-rated tire. You will need drag radials for that.

Get a larger turbine housing. What A/R do you currently have? I'll be running a .81A/R T4 to get traction I used a .63 A/R T3 last year and I was blowing the tires off at 20psi (400 ft lbs@28psi)
