No Traction @#!#!
i have an eg hatch /w gsr motor everythin pretty much stock and im runnin on some steelies, blackies, w/e with street no name tires and and i get no traction when launching and goin through 2nd and some times 3rd gear. Ive tried low rpms when launchin but it still manages to over peel out and i havent had this prob with other cars before. Will some Azenis tires help or am i gonna have to get some traction bars too? -thx

new tires is a must... i was rockin some bald no namers also and i could light up 1st, spin 2nd and chirp 3rd. Now i have some avs es100's and i cant even chirp 2nd on an extremely hard shift. It just grabs and goes....
Invest in some new tires first before you do any traction bars.

Learning to drive helps too. Like I've said 100 times in this forum, if I can pull a 2.2x 60 foots on mismatched winter tires in my brother's B18C1 hatchback, you should be able to as well. I'm a decent driver, but I'm not a miracle worker.
Feather the launch from 4000rpm and then feather the 1-2 shift enough to keep your dash from exploding off and you'll be golden.

Got dunlops on my Si, it doesnt wheel spin in first when I launch, and never chirps in second no matter how hard you shift...just grips and goes. You can never be too cheap about tires.

I may have over did it when I bought my Toyo's... but they grab no problem. Had no namers before and couldn't get much traction until 3rd. I've had Michelin and Falken and they chirped a little but not too bad. I haven't tried a whole lot of brands yet but it seems like most name brands will help dramatically.
I need to go a size down on my rims too. I think they're too heavy. Got 'em cheap though.

es100 suk absolute *****! they don't like camber issues, bumps, slippery pavement,longevity,wheel-hop, or lateral acc. in the rain. I used them for one summer and came to the conclusion that they only look cool, the only pro is that they have great traction in wet weather when cornering, but that's it. I would never buy them, again nor would I recomend them to any-one that i like. But if you are gay, well....scoop them up!
