timing Q with FMU setup

Default timing Q with FMU setup

what should i set my timing to
cartech FMU, bosch pump H22 injectors..
stock nonOBD pr3 ECU.

stock...?
how many degrees should i retard..

i dont have a btm, nor do i have the money to get one.
so any help is appreciated.!!!

edit: IHI turbo boosting 5-6 daily 8 track.. IC.

I'm boosting 6 and mine's set back 7 degrees....I still get pinging if I run low quality gas.

Set it to 10 to start and test it out....the farther you retard your timing the less performance you'll acheive. But start from 10 and work forward...listen for detonation...

I think the common wisdom is 0.75 degree per psi of boost so 6 psi = 4.5 degrees retard from stock timing.

thanks, now how about people saying that the ECU will correct, so u have to compensate for it doing so.???
