Default timing issues with the hack...6btm solution?

I've got the filetofit map limiter, which for the most part is the same as the afc hack. And my consern has to do with the timing issues associated with this setup. I'm running a low boost setup and don't plan on upping the boost, but I'd like to run a fairly reliable setup. So my question to you is this:

What would be the best way to address the timing issue with the hack?

I'm thinking that the msd 6btm would solve my problem. But I've searched and I think I've concluded that the 6btm is rpm dependant and the hack is boost dependant. Can anyone help me out with this? Oh yeah, I'm running about 8 lbs of boost on my setup.

Thanks

does anyone know? I'm sure there are people out there with the hack that are concerned with their timing being too advanced.

Yeah jz, that's what I've heard too. That's what sparked this topic. Could you tell me more about the apexi itc? Anyone else running this to handle timing with the hack?

i'm running the hack and the only timing retard i do is during boost. off boost driving is great and i don't seem to be getting any detonation. i'm running a fairly small turbo so i'm only running .33 degree of retard per 1 psi. at 8psi it comes out to a max of less than 3 degree total retard. just make sure you go get it tuned or get a wideband setup.

we just run a straight 3 or 4 degrees right at the dist... may not be the best solution for power at low rpms.. but it does pretty decent i'd say.
