I want to get a way to controll timing without having to spend a lot of money, so does anyone burned chips that controlls timing by boost?

I know it sounds crazy, but the guy who last tuned my car asked if i had a btm. i did so he thought it might be causing a lost in hp. there was another guy there that had a civic and it did cause a lost in hp. not sure how much. but that is why i asked.

I have a complete msd system, all I would have add is the btm, but I dont want another big red box, in my system, since I'm using a chipped p28 on a b16a I would just like to replace that chip with another that include a retard feature, becuase the chip I'm using raised the rev limit to match the b16, so any chip burner out there?
