Default Is it time for a new TURBO!?!

I was reading all the turbo leaks or problem on here and i seem to have the same situation. I decided to order a rebuild kit. Open up the turbo and remove seal and seal rings and all and notice it that only thing missing was the O-Ring/Gasket for Compressor Housing, I decided change it with the new seals anyway. Got the car to work again drive it maybe less than 100miles the car smokes again, and only leak on EXHAUST housing and no leaks else where. I do use a restricted return.

Do you mean a restricted feed line? The Return should be at least a -10an and be free flowing.

ok. How does your return line look? Where are you getting the feed from? What restrictor do you use? And what size feed line?

Did it stop when you "rebuilt" the turbo?

Iam using Stainless oil feed (-3) and oil drain (-10) lines.
It stopped then after driving car for atleast 50-100 miles then it just came back.
Im using the oil feed and lines from my peakboost kit.

i had an issue with mine blowing oil out the tail pipe/exhaust side and smoking, even after a turbo rebuild. come to find out i did not have a large enough vent on the crank case. i added ventalation to the valve cover and it stoped immediately. make sure your return line is as short as can be from the turbo to the pan and is all down hill with no low spots.

What turbo are you using? You might need to run an oil restrictor.

Pics would help. Anything less is speculative. Could be a kinked line, tapped to the wrong spot. feed from a different area of the block, bad turbo, anything. the more info you give us, the more we can give you in return.

Are you saying its feeding to much oil? Car was daily driven for a year. Probably put atleast 5-8k on it. Then the leak started, But a rebuild should stop it for awhile .

Your not serious are you? Fix the turbo, fix your over pressure issue......No rebuild next year
