tilton clutch install gone bad?
I've got a tilton 7.25 clutch with the 9.6 lb flywheel and after i installed it when i turn on the car it wont go into gear. I bleed the clutch and change the slave cylinder but it still doesnt work. Pedal has a little bit of play. When i installed it i shaved the bolt flush on the pressure plate and i shaved the inner piece of the release bearing. Anyone have any problem with this? Need to know asap, have tuning appointment in 2 days!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!

With the car off put the car in gear (1st). Keep your foot on the pedal and crank the engine. does the car move forward? If so you need to adjust your pedel and make sure you have a pedal stop.

the pedel can be minorly adjusted with the jam nut on the top of the assembly. I had the same problem. The nut does not move that much, but small increments make a significant difference. That is also why tilton made the hyd release bearing kit if this fails.

if the factory stop doesnt have enough adjustment u can install a longer bolt and nut and use that..

i had a similar problem when i installed my clutch as well.
i replaced the slave cyl and it seemed to help the problem.

how many times do u guys turn the push rod? i've turned probably at least 30 full turns and still the same. When the car is on jackstand and the engine on i can get into gear but when the car is on the ground and engine on the car wont get into gear and still pull forward when i leave it in gear first then start the car

from what i've heard is that the hydralic transmission u cant adjust the push rod on the clutch master cylinder right? When you guys use a bolt to replace the clutch interlock switch did you guys have to keep on bleeding the clutch after every few turns on the screw that replace the clutch interlock switch?
