Default Tilton............

I posted a topic like this on another board but I feel that I should share this with all you turbo guy's. Here it goes....

My goal is to hit 10's with my Accord/H22A. My set-up is as follows:
T68 turbo from Precision TE
Hitech equal length header
Tial W/G
Air to Water intercooler
SpeedPro engine fuel management
15x26 slicks
And,yes, the motor is fully built.....

So,here's the magical question. Should I get a Tilton Clutch,that will cost me 3500 f@@king dollars,or just get a normal clutch ie,ACT,HondaClutch?

All the big boys use this clutch, I know for a fact.

Any suggestion?

I think you might have to. From what I know most regular clutches wont hold up to the 600 hp range.

I run the tilton triple disc carbon carbon clutch and its unbeliavable. Its well worth the every penny u spend on it. The other clutches are just shity in my opinion for all out drag car making insane hp.

The Nature of Carbon-Carbon, as in used in F1 Brakes, Etc... Is that is doesn't fully grab until its heated. What this means to a clutch is that you can slip it @ 8000 RPMs. Ara Arlansian uses a Tilton Triple...Cuts 1.45 60fts in a 6 Speed Supra...thats practically unheard of. Also, I don't believe you can glaze it and it lasts incredbly longer than a normal clutch. Well Worth the investment.

that is true you can slip the cluthc at insane rpm so you just drop it and it goes. Its really nice piece of machinery. the carbon disc usually last approx couple seasons before they would need a rebuild. Rebuild runs at 200 bucks which is not bad. You definitely cant glaze this clutch it will take anything you throw at it. It shifts like stock but the only problem that i have notices is that if you over rev some time in certain gear it might not go in properly.
