My friend has a tial 35mm and greddy profec B and that **** is creeping like a ****. It's set at 8psi and it creeps to 15!!! Time to go back to the delta, creep free is the way to be...

 

you sure it's the wastegate? could be the boost controller, caused by the manifold design, etc. what car, manifold, turbo setup is your friend running?

 

Its more the manifold design fault than the wastegate. What manifold do you have?

I had a tial and mine kicked ***. Never even thought about creeping... I would look farther into the problem...

 

yeah, i've never really heard anything good about the deltagate and i've only heard good things about Tial. Don't get out your "jump to conclusions mat" yet.

 

have you played with the profec sensativity yet?

 

check the profec.

if the car wasn't creeping without the boost controller, there's your problem.

 

I have a Profec B and a Tial and it has creeped on me.
BECAUSE...
I had an exhaust leak and I had not messed with the sensitivity that much.

also make sure your vac lines are setup right.

 

i have heard of a couple people around my area say that there was "creeeping" took it apart and had a hole in the diafram(sp?). It is just like everything else, every now and then you get a bad part...i would suggest taking it apart and seeing if the diafram has a hole in it for not.

 

Wow, that adds to my growing list of products to avoid:

- TiAL wastegates because they creep
- Golden Eagle sleeves because they sink
- Volk wheels because they have a tendancy to bend when you hit a 12" deep pothole at 80mph

So much crap out there!

Not only is he confused and spouting BS for some unknown reason, but he hasn't even checked his thread. Now guys that are even more of a newb than he is will come here and be stupid enough to buy a Deltagate instead of a Tial.

 

yeah, whoever said to avoid tial products is a jackass. these are some of the best 35mm gates out there.

i have a tial 35 mm wastegate i have used the .65 bar spring(9lbs) and the .35(4.5lbs) and niether creeped if your at 8psi right now then disconnect the boost controler if you can or just make it so you don't have to use it and put in a 9lb spring whats one more lb gonna due figurtively speaking. The b.c. is a nice one, but if you just wanna solve the creep for now try this

 

come on now, i know this guy personally. he isnt the kind of person to spout bs. if the creep happened it did. he goes to school like i do so im pretty sure he hasnt checked it yet because of being busy. forced induction is supposed to be the section that has better sense than to call people jackasses and stupid. sounds like the kill forum. let him double check everything first.

 

i had the tial on my drag mani and it creeped when i full trhottled up to 9.8 lbs, but when i switched to a max-rev mani it stays at 7 lbs. I had the delta gate before also and noticed boost creep too. Not sure if it was the wastegate or the mani. Maxrev is great! So is Tial!

 

i am no expert but i believe the placement of the wastegate port on the drag manifold to be too far up the #1 runner to adequately regulate boost. there's probly something unique to your setup exacerbating this problem.

 

i agree w/ crzomang, usually it's the other way around. narrow down what the actual problem cause that.
