TiAL Wastgate Question?
Ok, so I originally had a turbonetics wastegate. Bought a new TiAL wastegate and it bolted right up. Here is the problem. Im new to turbos and thought it was going to be an easy in and out. Like I said it bolts right up, but there are two vacuum outlets on the TiAL. One on top of the head and one coming right out of the side. My Turbonetics one had just one coming out the side of it. Now, I am running a greddy boost controller and turbo timer. Question is, how do I hook up the vacuums. Someone told me something about the top one to the boost controller solenoid.
whcih profec do you ahve if tis the b model hook vacuum line to the output on the unit it self and also you now have two on the solnoid one goes to the top port and one goes to the side port
the solenoid on your boost controller should have 3 ports on it, COM, NO, and NC
COM goes to a vacuum source, and since you are running a wastegate the NO port goes to the top port on the wastegate, the other one is left open on the solenoid. (it may be the other way around i forget how i have my AVCR hooked up)
then the port on the side of the wastegate goes to a vacuum source
COM goes to a vacuum source, and since you are running a wastegate the NO port goes to the top port on the wastegate, the other one is left open on the solenoid. (it may be the other way around i forget how i have my AVCR hooked up)
then the port on the side of the wastegate goes to a vacuum source
