Default Tial 44mm MVR wastegate water port?

i saw on the diagram that came with the box showing water cooled ports. what im asking here is, is thats a necessary thing to run? if it is, where are people running there water/coolant ports from?

ive never seen anything like it and i wasnt aware of it either.

The water ports are an option, for those that race on the circuit that requires a bit more cooling. Most people ran them from the same locations as any other ball bearing turbo charger. From the TB through the water pipe neck (tapped).

For those that use the water lines from the wastegate & the turbo, most have used the B&R fitting kit for the turbo, and ran the wastegate lines from the TB & water neck.

is it necessary if my car is raced at the 1/4 mile track every few months..? (its my show/race car) no circuiting or any of that and its not my daily driver anymore either..hoping to make around 500hp and im making sure before the dyno/races weather i need it or not. thanks!

unless you're beating on your car or your install is very close quarters i'd say no.... but seeing as how you have an ef, i'd run them better safe than sorry... definitely helps keep the diaphragm cool

i never beat on any of my cars. down the track, back to pit thats it..why does it matter that i have an ef? i was going to say, run a line from my radiator, would that be ok? and do i have to run both of them?

without the second line there is no coolant circulation, so it would be pointless.

ef's have very little room under hood, thats my point
