Default tial 38mm gap between manifold flange

whats up guys...piecing my kit together....got an inline pro mani, and just got my tial 38mm flanged wastegate.... I test fit it on the manifold and there is a small gap between the flange on the mani and the flange on the wastegate, maybe 2mm enough to see light through. I dont want it to leak. the gasket is on there and i dont want to crank down on it and possibly break the wastegate flange or strip threads. It seems like when the wastegate is off the mani that the valve seat seems to stick out a bit should I file it down a bit? has anyone had this problem?

Make sure the fire ring is installed on the bottome of the wastegate. (should have come with it, unless you bought it used. Otherwise, e-mail TiAL, or a TiAL dealer, and order one up. Problem solved.

isn't that the valveseat? it is installed... bought the wastegate new....If it is flush is there no need to have the flange perfectly against the mani flange? the valve seat would do the actual sealing?

The fire ving/valve seat will do the actual sealing no need for a gasket or anything.
