Default tial 38mm fit on a 35mm flange????

I asked a littel while ago if a 38mm tial wastegate would fit on the 35mm flange and a few people said that it would. Well i got the wastegate today and the the holes are different sizes, as i expected. So what they were saying is that I can still run the 38mm on the 35mm flange and it will work fine? The holes will just be a diffent size?

also the is a little metal ring that fits in the bottom and the flange attaches to(if you have a tial you know what i mean), this does not fit, is that going to be a problem or should I just leave it out and connect it directly to the flange?

The 35mm and 38mm use the exact same flange.

I have a manifold made for for 35mm but im using a 38mm wastegate. the Flanges are the same. The number refers to the plunger inside the wastegate. Not the actual flange itself. Maybe u got another size opening on ur manifold or different sized wastegate.

I got both a 35mm and a 38mm and what's interesting is that the valve seat ring for the 38mm has an ID of 35mm while the 35mm has an ID of 32mm, so technically the 38mm wg will fit better on a 35mm manifold flange

should be fine as they said... I also was worried about this when I upgrade to the 38mm hp as opposed to my 35mm.

I hardly wanted to have to hack off a flange and get it rewelded

The "38mm" or "35mm" refers to the actual size of the valve.

thank you that was the exact answer i was looking for. someone swapped the cap on my 38mm to the 35mm and i thought i was jipped. as long as the bottom is the 38mm version i guess i don't care.
