Default Which throttle cable? [jrsc ef b20v]

Hey I have a CRX with a b20v engine and I'm installing a JRSC.

I need to know which throttle cable to buy.

I bent the bracket and got the angle lined up for the cable but the one I have (GSR) is way too long by atleast 6 inches.

It also sticks up in a big loop and will rub on the underside of the hood.

Plz advise.

Thank you.

Match your cable to the throttle body/ intake manifold.

Have a look at this post
the throttle cable is held at the end and there is a roller at the other end going to the TB for the cable

I really just want to get that little roller piece and use my current GSR cable and b16 throttle body. 62mm is big enough for me at this point.

The LHT gsr throttle body and cable for 240 + shipping doesn't appear to come with the TPS sensor.

They are out of the office until tuesday... damn holidays again. How can I make my GSR cable fit?

My tps on my b16 throttle body doesn't have screws - I'd have to do the whole "drill out the rivets" thing.

I really just want to run my b16 throttle body and not blow another 250 bucks on the LHT stuff... lol can't you just tell me how?

I'll dig through my parts pile tomorrow to find my old p30 and CRX cables.. maybe they'll work.

(updating my build thread tonight, have a peep if you're curious)

90-91 Teg throttle cable worked for me with my B20 with the SK2 IM and stock TB. Length on the Teg throttle cable was quite a bit shorter then the DX/Si model.

The configuration that you show in the first photo is much like a '99-00 Civic Si JRSC kit... which means that you would use the '99-00 B16A2 throttle cable. This may require a slight bit of "bending" of the bracket that holds the adjustment point of the cable, but you should be fine. If you don't like the idea of the cable "looping" up high and making contact with the hood as you mentioned, you will need to convert to the ITR JRSC set-up that MRGRIM mentioned. You would have to contact Moss Motors and purchase the ITR roller cable bracket (if they have any left) and also buy a '97-01 ITR throttle cable.

you dont need to get the TB from LHT "overpriced"
just get a 68mm omni power gsr TB from ebay and the gsr cable bracket for the TB

Okay there are alllll kinds of solutions in this thread.

I'm just about at the point where I drop the motor in and have to figure this on the spot.

I will try the CRX dx throttle cable I have somewhere in my part pile. The 90-93 cable I pictured is too long.

I will look into procuring one of those roller brackets but mossmotors comes up as unreachable on my computer and not sure I have time to wait on more special order inter-continental parts.

Heh, can't someone just give me a straight answer?

Which throttle cable - JRSC B20v (b16 head, NOT gsr)

GSR cable is too long. Will try b16 cable and CRX cable next.

Thanks.
