Throttle Body Tech
I just size my throttlebody slightly larger than the piping used, just in case the throttleplate itself poses as a minor restriction versus a true hollow pipe. But in most cases, I just run piping that is more economical based on the build, and the general appearance as well. You don't want a 2.25" upper charge pipe entering the throttlebody because it looks lame
So I just get a throttlebody to match the piping.
So I just get a throttlebody to match the piping.
i thinking that if it is that you are boosted volume will be a bit more important than speed as the turbo will be "driving" (want of a better word) the air in the piping...
i too am looking for the best size TB to use, i have a 65.5 and a 68 to try out, but will not be for some time. but to keep things simple, get a TB that has the same size as the charge pipe you have or should be running, and port match it to the intake... it the very lest you not have to worry about the TB being a restriction.
what you guys think???
